Join a team that has been showing up for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in East and Southeast Los Angeles since 2008. Our coaches, team leads, and support staff are the reason our clients reach their goals: and we're always looking for people ready to do the same.
We're currently hiring for:
- Community Coach Support Staff (Coach 1): $19.00–$21.00/hr
- Community Coach Support Staff (Coach 2): $21.00–$22.50/hr
- Team Lead: $23.00–$25.00/hr
All positions include paid sick time, mileage reimbursement, and option to enroll in supplemental insurance. Full-time employees receive dental, vision, paid holidays, and paid vacation. Background clearance required for all roles with direct client contact
D.E.S.I. Volunteer & Internship Opportunities
Volunteers are at the heart of what we do. Whether you're distributing groceries at our food bank, supporting a community event, or contributing your skills to our arts and music programming, your time makes a direct difference for families in our community.
Ways to get involved:

Food Bank: We distribute food weekly to over 400 families in East Los Angeles. Volunteers help with setup, distribution, and logistics.

Community Events: From our annual celebrations to neighborhood outreach, there's always something happening and always a role to fill.

Arts & Music Programming: We offer inclusive programming in music, dance, and creative arts with no auditions, no fees, and no experience required. If you want to share a skill, we want to hear from you.

Internships: We host interns from California State University, University of California, and private universities and even local high school's. If you're a student looking to gain meaningful field and or volunteer experience, reach out to jason@desisocal.org
