Empowering Communities Through Skills Training
Designated Exceptional Services for Independence (D.E.S.I.) strives to support the unique needs of our clients. Our goal is to make them independent and active members of their community. This can be accomplished by providing them with a variety of skills training exercises individualized to their needs. Some examples of D.E.S.I. training activities are learning to use public transportation, receiving assistance and learning reinforcement while attending post-secondary education, acquiring employment, or starting a micro-enterprise.
D.E.S.I. is also very active in the community. Whether we are hosting social activities and networking events for our clients, organizing group volunteer projects, or conducting community workshops, D.E.S.I. is committed to not only serving its clients but making the community a better place for everyone.
